My lecturer: Well I could try and explain to you Barthe’s essay on readerly writing and writerly writing, but nothing I surmise would explain it quite so well as the way Natasha just has.

Yes, just like that and you know what? Everything DID go back to normal and everything WAS okay. This was the normal people talked about, before wasn’t. Before wasn’t even make believe. Before was just some poor imitation of life trying to work itself out, but that ended up choking on its past instead.
